The theme in my books seems to be very simple keeping secrets is a bad thing and will lead to trouble. I think that is the theme of the book because there are many secrets in the book and every time there is a secret there seems to be a problem. But is it really possible to not have a secret I mean its not like you tell everything to someone but then again there are secrets that you shouldn't hold in there are secrets that you should tell someone about because if you don't they might lead to trouble.
One example of a secret is that the girls have been keeping the messages a secret for months and in those months bad things have been happening to them. After they told the police some how the messages disappeared. Another secret was that Hanna one of the main characters was making herself vomit now if that secret wasn't told she might have died.
As you can see there are some secrets that you have to tell because it would make your life a lot easier then keeping the secrets in and suffering through them.
That's a really good theme to do a post about. A lot of people do keep secrets. Your right, some secrets are meant to be said and some aren't. But ifi you ever feel uncomfortably or out of placce saying a secret. Tell your best friend or friend, b/c that's what friends are for.
