World on Fire

  To me there is something in this song that makes me feel that I really do want to do something about the world and the people on it.  What really caught my attention is that the music videos that people make cost over 100 million dollars, I really think that if all that money went to a place that really needed it than the world would be a better place for all of us.  When i first read the lyrics to this song i was thinking of 9/11 because it said that darkness was falling around them and how airplanes came crashing down.  After watching the music video I noticed that Sarah Mclachan was thinking something else.  She was talking about the people in Africa and how they need a lot of help.  In the video they were showing kids from Africa and how they sleep on the streets and don't have enough money to go to school or some even struggle with getting water.  I think if we donated the money that people get from filming videos or even just making a t.v. show because the people that make these videos probably all ready have a lot of money that they don't use and if they don't use it than why not give it to the people that really need it.  I thought that the video was really interesting because in between some of the stages they filmed they had the amount of money that the regular videos cost and what they could do with that money.

  To me this video was very inspiring and i also think that if more and more people watch this video they will actually do something for the people that right now are in poverty.  Although this video was only about the people in Africa that doesn't mean that, that is the only place with people that are in poverty.  That is not true because people all over the world are having the same issues as  people in Africa.  You don't have to start big even donating some clothing that you don't wear or is to small on you can make a big difference.  Every year I donate some of my clothes to people that actually need it.  So next time if you have some nice clothes that you don't wear any more than instead of throwing them out donate them and you will help a person in need.
